Privacy Policy
The media you create and export never leaves your browser. 3D cards, video stories, GIFs, and image downloads are rendered directly on your own device with zero server storage for your exports. We only access public Letterboxd profile information to generate your card (never passwords). We do not have advertisers, we do not sell your data, and creating an account is completely optional if you want your custom card saved across devices.
1. Who We Are

2. Your Media & Exports (100% In-Browser)
All visual processing occurs locally on your machine:
- —No media uploads: 3D card simulation, holographic shader effects, and video or image generation run directly inside your browser.
- —Direct downloads: Exported MP4 videos, GIFs, and PNG images download straight to your computer or phone. We do not store copies on any cloud server because we never receive them.
3. What Information We Access
When you enter a Letterboxd username, Scenephile retrieves public profile details to generate your card:
- —Public username, display name, avatar, bio, favorite films, and recent watches.
- —Public movie poster artwork and titles to display on your card grid.
- —Public media you choose to link or search within the studio, such as soundtrack audio streams via YouTube, animated avatar searches via GIPHY, or visual backdrop inspiration via Pinterest.
We never ask for, access, or store your Letterboxd password or private account credentials.
4. Guest Mode vs. Creating an Account
- —Guest Mode: You can use the entire studio without creating an account. Your card edits and settings remain strictly in your browser session.
- —Creating an Account: Optional. If you choose to sign in to claim a username or save your card design, your selected card preferences (such as materials, themes, and layouts) and public card link are securely saved to your account so you can edit and share them across devices.
5. Zero Advertising & Data Privacy
We do not sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal data with third-party advertising brokers. There are no advertising networks, marketing pixels, or cross-site tracking systems on Scenephile.
6. Cookies & Browser Storage
- —Session Cookies: Used exclusively to keep you securely signed in if you create an account.
- —Local Preferences: Your browser may store temporary studio settings (like 2D/3D view mode) locally on your device.
You can clear cookies and local site data in your browser settings at any time.
7. Managing & Deleting Your Data
If you created an account and wish to delete your saved card designs, claimed username, or account information completely, email scenephilestudio@gmail.com and we will promptly remove your records.
8. Children's Privacy
Scenephile is designed for a general audience of film enthusiasts and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children.
